Well we took it out and it did pretty alright after i figured out i had two plug wires switched. Oops. Luckily my dad caught it right away and no big deal. The idle was high and a quick adjustment to the dual carb linkage fixed that. All in all it did real well and after bringing it home and cleaning the idle jets it fires right up and doesnt pop at all. We found out real fast that the harnesses need a submarine belt. Im doing some cleaning because frankly you couldnt tell where on part ended and another began.

2 things, Generators suck and those fan shrouds suck. Granted, on something that light it may not ever matter.

Im goin to do the alternator conversion and its never had overheating issues even though i hate chrome and it retains heat. Its difficult to change it when its worked for so long.

A 36HP shroud with stock cylinder tins that have the deflectors intact. Also some super tins on the bottoms side=no cooking of the #3 cylinder.

It's amazing what people threw away off those motors becuase they didn't think it was neccasary. I have yet to see a set of heater flaps on a motor as they were usually the first thing thrown away in SoCal. It never gets cold here right?

I picked up a wiring kit after looking at the rats nest behind the drivers seat and finding a bunch of loose wires still hot. Its an empi 6 fuse setup with a protected fuse case.

Its good to have extra parts around. Ford solid state relay will work good for wiring.

Finished writing in the relay today. Starter and kill switch also wired in along with a generator kill switch and fuel pump. First day it fired off under new wiring. The relay is ready for a cover.

Think I found the reason why the tail lights weren't workin. Also my partner in crime sleep in on the job again.

My uncle gave it to me. Its a grant but I'm unsure the exact model. I can look it up if you'd like.
