Geez that Bronco looks familiar.....faster in the bumps though. Nice job.cwrisley wrote:Yes, with surgical precision. I was scared to hit a fuel line, but they sit an inch or so below the bed, so I barely dropped the cutting wheel through. Worked out perfectly. Just need to go to the junkyard and get a patch panel.tcm glx wrote:Did you cut the floor with the tank in place? Truck looks great!
Think I have to do the fuel pump access door too.....running perfectly but that doesn't mean there's not an urchin in there. I've seen several light conversations on the door fabrication. Does everyone just get some bed floor a little bigger than the cut hole and tek screw it down? Think I'd like to frame the cut hole with some flat bar sealed and riveted on, then hinge the door with some weatherstripping.
How are you gonna do it?

Exactly, just a piece of floor and some tek screws. Not the fanciest, but it's effective.
For all yous with fans on your trans coolers: I bought the B&M supercooler 11.5", what size/model/cfm spal fan are you running? I'm going with a puller after much reading in the tech section. It was really helpful.

AC is blowing cold now! Lee (Whiterhino1) came out today and got me dialed. R134 conversion, a new pump, and all charged up. Lee is a super rad guy who does great work. It's nice to have a solid dude working on your truck.
Finally got a new trans swapped in as well. The old one was shifting extremely hard and needed a rebuild. Picked up a good trans off Brandon that was solid and has a Punisher in it. I threw all new u joints at it and had the rear shaft rebuilt, the front serviced and balanced. No more vibrations. Still have to plum/mount the cooler, wire the fan, and wire the gauge.

Trans cooler is in. My Bronco didn't have the factory cooler, so this should help out a lot.
Some other goodies that are happening right now...

Made a fun lil loop from Plaster City to Ocotillo Wells last night. Bronco did great. Got pretty warm through the soft stuff, but my fault for not airing down earlier than I did. Overall, super stoked how she ran.

The app is called Motion X. Works great. I've never had a Lowerance but this works so bitchin. Great maps, plays iTunes, you can track your buddies location on the fly. Next time we go, I'll make it known. A lot of people hit me up for the next run. Stay tuned......

That was a great time. Can't wait for next time. Your truck is looking awesome Chris. You effectively distracted me from the stuff I should be working on...

Finally put the Baja HID projectors on. Thanks again Taylor and Tony. This was a much needed improvement. While I was at it, replaced the turns and corners. All LED bulbs ( not shown) and the black doors and grill. Looks pretty Sharp!

Got the trans temp gauge in finally. Stoked to finally have that taken care of. And I got the iPad mount installed for the GPS. Gonna give it all a good test this week out at Superstition.
