The Chief's Clever Bronco
Re: The Chief's Clever Bronco
Hmmmm, I wonder if I could somehow adapt that to my already there Autofab hood pin thingys that are welded to my core support. I guess only one way to find out! Thanks for the pic.

I am not sure on that manufacturer of the hood pin setup, but years ago a friend had those type of sliding pin mechanism rust shut. Keep a eye on the track the pin slides inside of. It was just bad timing when he had an electrical fire and could not get the latch open without using the pry bar side of his lug wrench. Just a heads up.
Over the years I have come to embrace the saying KISS, Keep It Simple Stupid. Not calling you stupid, but I have tried some gimmick parts on my Bronco in the past. RANCHO 9000 adjustable shocks come to mind as a good idea, but excusing the desired outcome was a major failure.

No worries David. I appreciate you letting me know about your buddies experience. I'll add the track mechanism to my inspection list.
With regards to Aero-Catch, I've read nothing but positive reviews. There are some knock offs so I opted for the real thing. My review right now would be 4.5 out of 5 stars. Only because I had to go purchase longer hardware for my hood.

How's the rear access with those Sparco front seats?

Re: The Chief's Clever Bronco
I have full access to the rear from both sides. The adapter brackets I had cut for both sides allow the stock sliders to function as theyre designed. Plus my Sparcos recline, which increases the access.PaleRider wrote:How's the rear access with those Sparco front seats?
As far as comfort goes they are amazing. To quote my girl from last night. "These seats are really comfy."

Check out this video. Looks like AeroCatch thought about the possibility of the track mechanism rusting and used stainless steel to make the pin and track mechanism.

She wasn't the fastest pony today. In fact she was the slowest but she was very dependable and a whole lot of fun! I can't wait for the next Broncos in Barstow run and maybe this time we can have the bullets there too.

Can someone tell me the name of this toothed insert? I'm missing one and need it to properly install the remote faceplate on my race radio.

Yes sir. That's the one. I had it sandblasted and powder coated prior to installation.zachwabbit wrote:Is that the bumper off off Steve's F250?
