Hey Everyone.

Post by i0n »

Hey guys, Just doing the intro thing.. I'm James, nice to meet you all. I'm from NJ and I've had several different Broncos over the past 12+years... From a 78 w/a 400 in it to my Current one now, which is a 1996 XLT that was Converted to 2WD and has the 5.0 with the M5R2 transmission in it. I'm always looking to do something creative and new to the truck. For the most part, I usually just lurk and read. Not too much of a talker, but I will comment if I see something very creative and sleek looking.

Current Items about to be installed: Pacesetter Shorty headers, Magnaflow Y-pipe, Gibson 3 IN. Exhaust System.

Upcoming, as the weather gets progressively warmer: Soft Top, Tuffy Security console, interior/exterior overhaul + Respray and a-plenty of performance upgrades (not limited to: a possible engine swap)

I hope to learn as much as I can here and possibly donate some of the knowledge that I have attained over the years.

Currently right now, she's a daily driver. Eventually make go Prerunner w/the truck. Everything I do now is about adding just a little more "oomph" and keeping the gas mileage relative, since I drive about 30-40mins each way for work. SO, reliability is a HUGE factor for me right now along with comfortability/safety at the same time.

Welcome to the site. Sounds like you are where a lot of us were with our Broncos at one time or another. Years ago, I know what it was like to make sure any upgrades had to be done before I had to go to work on Monday. Then on desert trips I had to make sure I could drive home and still drive it to work Monday also.

For me the Bronco became a pure toy and my daily driver became a F350 that tows my little mule out to the desert. The nice thing is if it break's, it goes on the trailer to get home. The problem is, then I push it a little harder knowing my F350 can retrieve the Bronco even in the Dunes.

It's all fun..
