King of Hammers 2014

I just thought I'd post up to see if anyone else is planning to attend the 2014 King of Hammers from Jan 31 - Feb 8. The main event is on Friday, Feb 7. I will likely come up early Friday morning and ride motorcycle for the better part of the day, popping around to different vantage points. I won't be staying over night... In talking with a few it sounds like there may be a few coming up to camp for one or more nights. Feel free to use this thread if you want to coordinate a camp site or meeting point 8-) This event is usually a blast...

I always run on the bike, it's the only solid bike trip I do each year... So likely will repeat unless I can't get it into shape in time:)

I plan to head up and ride my bike in with Guard. I will probably go up Thurs and leave relatively early Friday but may stay and leave early Sat. I have never been to this event and am unfamiliar with the area. Don't mind wandering around on my bike but it would great to meet up with GFB guys.

I'll post our plans here.......

Vic, israel, Jesse and myself are heading up Thursday evening for dinner in Yucca valley. A FANTASTIC restaurant........ I have three rooms secured at the holiday inn at a rate of 140 a room I believe. Plan is to head out and watch the race Friday, and head home after.

Andy, same as last year, minus heading up Thursday morning. We will head up Thursday afternoon instead.

Andy, Jesse and Ryan can attest to this place for dinner. It's almost better than the race. HA!
