Re: Tonys 93 bronco
This bronco is so clean! I like the simple truss, effective but not bulky with added unsprung mass. I've seen a few failed 8.8s and most failures were from broken plug welds and I have seen one bent pretty bad near the diff housing so I'm sure that by towing the two tubes together and then to the diff it should avoid that type of breakage. Plus looks like it strengthens the shock mounts too which is cool.

Thanks Kyle, the purpose was really to keep it together for last weeks trip to Baja. Working on building a 9" for it now.kylesgorter wrote:This bronco is so clean! I actually bought semi gloss pant and used a roller. Did that about 2 or 3 yrs ago. Was not too hard to do, and cleaned it up. Let me know when you feel like doing and I'll lend a hand.robertcrav wrote:You guys are making your trucks tooooo pretty...

It was between Mark's which I have heard great things about or the leduc version. Nick has a leduc one he is cutting me a deal on so will likely go that route.

Re: Tonys 93 bronco
Minor update, no pictures.........
After carefull thought into all of the build, decided to go with a Currie Extreme Duty housing for the bigger axle tube and thickness. Placed order for it this week. Will be standard width. Unfortunately the axles I recieved from Yukon are standard replacement axles for a stock 9" Bronco Housing which have a backspacing intended for drum brakes. My options are now limited tostock drum brakes, going to a custom setup with likely no parking brake or the Wilwood setup with internal parking brake. Weighing those options out now while the housing is built!

Re: Tonys 93 bronco
the currie housing is a way better choice. the axle offset you have is one of the most common. so a brake kit should be pretty easy.
