Hey guys, sounds like a great trip and looking forward to the write-up....

Sorry to hear about your woes with your tow rig too Rob, but atleast you weren't far from home.
Listening to the radio (which the losers couldn't get out of my tuffy console) all the way into Barstow could hear things going wrong early on....haha! Awesome how the Maratracs were booming 40 miles to Barstow from Afton canyon!!!! Thanks for letting me steal the thread for a post, but now let's see some stories of the fun and carnage??

Home sweet home after another awesome safe trip, dezert miles,camping,awesome scenerie for a trail lunch,surf & turf buffet ,hanging out at the bar, black jack tables PRICELESS!!!!! Had a great time thank you to tony,chris and tom for taking the time to put this together once again. Had to stop by slash x on the way home for a burger and some of those fries!!!!

I was bummed about only making it a few miles but at least I have a truck to fix. I want to say thanks to the guys that made this run possible. The little time I spent on the trail and interacting with the rest was awesome! Thanks to everyone for being so helpful. I didn't catch to many names but thank you guy in stock explorer and guy in blue ranger. Special thanks to Rodney and his wife, they went above and beyond and towed me all the way to Baker. My only question is do I really have to wait a whole year before trying this again? I vote for a bi-annual event!

It was good meeting you! I was the guy with the stock Explorer. When you have your trans rebuilt make sure they install the 97 up "superduty" six pinion steel planetary set and upgraded input shaft. Trans will last you a long time after that upgrade.

First and foremost, many thanks to those who participated. This truly was an epic trip with just a ton of fun. I'm pretty sure everyone had a terrific time!
