I had set up the coil over to clear the master cylinder, but I set it up without the built in drum break pressure residual valve. When installed the coil over was way too close to the master.

After a lot of figuring I just ended up using an 90’s explorer master cylinder. It has similar dimensions as the bronco master and it is a left side port instead of the right side. that gave me plenty of room to work with.

I also plumed break lines down the radius arms

The old millermatic 35 was putting down some sketchy welds, so I took a chance on the miltiproces “yes” mig welder off amazon and I am pleasantly surprised. I wish I would have bought one sooner.

I had to reroute my exhaust to clear the cage as well

On to limit straps

And I threw a fender with a wheel and tire just to see what it would look like.

I pulled the coil overs to flutter stack the valving. It’s a 15/12 stack. After the truck is up and ready for tuning I might go back to a standard pyramid stack and open up the bleed holes a bit.

I also bought some bottom coils.
My spring rate is a
12” 500lb
16” 550lb

I feel like spring rates are all over the place on broncos, some guys running a 250/350 some a 500/600.
I will start here and if it’s too stiff I’ll go down to a 400lb on the tender. Maybe a 350 to get the 200 pound spread. I was thinking about switching to a 14” tender if need be. I have 4-5” of unused thread on top of the coil over.

I’m trying to get as much done in the engine compartment as I can before the core support, rad and fenders go back on.

I know there isn’t too much traffic on this website anymore, but i am open to any critique or thoughts regarding work done or theory’s I have lol

So we are about caught up on work done. The to-do list looks like…

-plumb in sending units for trans temp and fuel pressure gauge
-try and get the windshield wipers to work around the cage
-finish install on shocks
-rattle can fenders and hood black
-install radiator and core support
-air filter, was thinking about a single big Donaldson style filter
-run accessory wire loom through fire wall
-build fan shroud for trans cooler
-install grill and build bumper, I would like to incorporate a hidden winch to fit behind the skid plate.
-rock and engine compartment lights

Then from there move to the cab

Lots and lots of progress on the bronco. I’ve actually got a few hundred dirt miles on it so far!
