Looks like a bent beam kit.... Bent beams are where it's at. The funnest truck I've owned was a standard cab Ranger with a 2.3L, manual trans, bent beams, National leaves and 2.5" shocks. That truck was soooo well balanced, easy to drive and hard to upset. It didn't matter how crossed up I threw it at stuff. It would just soak it up and keep on truckin'. And that was long before I had even the slightest idea of what was going on inside shocks (I'm still a hack). Anyway, it was fun truck.

My roomate Jeff has a 98 short bed 2.5 manual truck with 32" tires on it that is way to fast for what it is. It almost keeps up with my Bronco. I was amazed the first time I rode in it.

I've got this 85 2WD with the awesome 73-HP(downhill) 2.0L sitting on OE 94 Springs F&R, with 30-9.5BFG's and state-of-the-art "RS5000" White Cans all round. 30-MPG average for the past 6-years, I have beat it and it just keeps running! Unfortunately it is dieing of rust so I have an 86 4Wd roller.
I don't know how many miles of dirt have been spit out behind the rear bumper, but I'm over 100k miles since I bought it.

Customer (dad bought/had built for 18 yr old kid) is driving it around for a few weeks to check for bugs and then it comes back for tear down with powdercoat and paint.

Front is a custom 4 link with 2.5" C/O's. Thing is fully caged with custom seats, a custom fuel cell, etc. etc.

It looks way cooler in person. Pics don't do it justice at all looking at them now.

And yes - I'm envious!

On a side note - the guy who owns/runs this shop is the guy that helped ,e build the ranger above, and did most of the fab on that K5 your brother got from Jason.

If you look at the "Model A" in the hot rod section all of those pics were taken in my old garage. That is actually me welding 1/2 way down on the left row of pics. It's my old room mates car that I spent WAAAAY too long TIG welding on. It's just now nearing completion and it's a pretty cool car.
