New wheels painted and ready to go on.
They are almost identical to my bronco rims.

Re: Suzuki sidekick
Fitting some 31" tires on the front.
Had to clearance the back of the front inner fenders.
A ton of crap came out that was hidden in there. If you want to lighten up your rig there is probably atleast 10 lbs of dirt clinging in hidden places.
Aaaand all clear. I still new to check at full bump.
Looks soooo much better with that stance. Now just need to get it to the alignment shop. Drove it around a little and the tires ride ROUGH. To be expected from mud terrains I guess. At low speeds it shakes. I'm not sure if its the tires or the alignment, but at speeds over 20 mph it smooths out.

Laying down my first bead with my new welder. Pretty much just starting to weld.
Added a tow hitch to my bumper.
Did it mostly at a recovery point and maybe some light towing. I have a little harbor freight trailer that this thing could easily tow.

Sorry there is no sound. Still learning to use this gopro. And I need a suction mount haha kind of shaky. Lots of big rocks and a small trucklet makes for a bumpy ride. This was up at Azusa canyon this past weekend. Went through ever mud hole and up and down every trail and didn't get stuck once. Thought it was going over one time though when I caught a rut coming down a very steep hill but I made it haha. I towed it behind my bronco and it towed perfectly I have the taillights wired up so I can plug it into the plug on my bronco for towing.
And btw that's my grandpa driving not me. I let him drive so I could take the video. I would have made it up that hill easily. I should have told him to put it in 4 low and pin it to win it!

Looks like a fun day. And good man for getting grandpa out of the house & out driving in the dirt - haha.
Even with buddies who are up in the canyon all the time & big in ACCORA I've still never been. One of these years the Mutt will go...

It's fun just put around. Kind of like to test out what your rig can do and what it needs. Plenty of river crossings and sand and mud. Would be better with larger tires due to all the river rocks.
This little thing went every where I pointed it. Even without a rear locker it did fine. Really happy with it. Now to go bigger! Haha. Been eyed a grand vitara v6 motor and trans. It's suppose to bolt right up.

I like this little thing, I see normal ones and think of this one often. Every time I see one I say to myself clearly this person has no idea that thing can offroad like yours.

Yeah, taping everything off by eye and making sure it all stays square on a non square surface takes awhile. Haha.

I think it would look a lot better with tinted windows. That might be next. I have some heims and uniballs and a set of coilovers getting ready to put on the front for extra travel numbers. I'd like to go at least 4" wider and an inch or so forward on each side and use some less spaced out wheels on the front so the tires don't stick out like crazy.

Was it the one that was all low and wide? Looked like Toyota axles or something?SteveG wrote:I didn't get a close look at it and wasn't able to get a photo, bit there was a really cool one on the beach this weekend. Had front and rear glass. Have you seen it?
