Motor City GoFast

Post by johncharlesb »

Hello all,
I have been lurking for a couple years, thought the time had come to join. I definitely like the long travel setups, and there is plenty of sand up here in Michigan. The info and general mood here is great. The new site is excellent too; you guys are doing a great job.

The current project is a 62 ford f100.

It is leaf spring in the front and rear. I will be making slow progress on it. Springs and shocks to start. It appears the springs will have to be custom as they switched to coils in 65 and changed the rears in 67. Any suggestions? I will update as I build.

Oh yeah, have a 95 Bronco too.

Nice truck! I used to drive my dad's 63 with a 4-speed and granny first, owned a 64 with a three-on-the-tree and very briefly owned a 67. All with sixes. When I owned them I wasn't into desert trucks at all. I now wish I had one to put the Body on a TTB frame with an injected Windsor....

Here is my Dad's 63 that I drove for about a year.

That looks sweet Steve. Very clean Bronco you have too. Those sixes are amazing motors, I had three or four or five of them in my day. My F100 has a 292 Y block, 4spd.
