Re: APEMFB's Air Force One aka The Silver Bullet
I have some more free advice. Cut the fenders ala-Gun-it's Bronco. Unlike the paint, YES! I will front the bill on this one. Tell me where to send the tin snips!
I love the hood. Wanna trade for a standard Autofab hood?

Steve,
I'm looking at actually sectioning the fender above the wheel well curve so I can keep those body lines since they'll match the front OEM style Autofab fenders like Tom runs. That way the rear will have a larger wheel opening but will still look factory. I have a hot rod guy in San Diego who will be taking on that project.
I dig the drop center hood, can't part with it, lol.

How would you section the fenders in the front Steve?
I'm just here for the views. It helps me feel wanted.

If you look at that era bronco, the fenders have a double lip. Cut the lower lip, which gives you 1.5-2"'s more clearence while keeping the stock look with the upper lip.hobbyturnedobsession wrote:How would you section the fenders in the front Steve?

The fenders Dave's (Gun-it) Bronco are cut up to the chrome fender strip. I don't have any photos of it but it looks freakin' awesome. Expecially with 35" tires. If I wasn't so lazy about working on my truck I would have done it a long time ago.hobbyturnedobsession wrote:How would you section the fenders in the front Steve?

Man I'm suprised you haven't pulled the chrome trim off your window gaskets. I looked at the gaskets on my 94, it is the same gasket as yours they have the groove for the chrome trim.

Re: APEMFB's Air Force One aka The Silver Bullet
Not exactly true. 94-96 have the groove filled with a black rubber gasket. 93 and older have chrome insert. If you pull it out, it leaves a void....Kenny's 94 wrote:Man I'm suprised you haven't pulled the chrome trim off your window gaskets. Your Bronco looks very nice, top notch. All silver will definitely be cool, and the current two tone has a sweet retro look. I bet it is a blast to drive.
