So here is the 1993 stock white Bronco I bought. I decided to not use the C6 transmission. I am going to get a 2 wheel drive E4OD and build it so I can have overdrive for everyday use. I'm looking into building it soon. Looks like it is going to cost about $2600 by the time I am done.

Oooh - a white one - I like white!

As for the E4OD - why a 2wd?

For the $2600 build cost - that seems about right. While the c6 is strong, the E4OD isn't much behind is according to Culhane. The buildup may cost a bit more though. Still - it will be less than adding an overdrive on the c6 most likely.

All the suspension is all 2 wheel drive from the 91 I was building. Check out the previous pictures on my posts. I really wanted to use the C6 but with driving it everyday, every bite helps. Plus with overdrive, I can gear it right (4:56 instead of 4:10). Plus the transfercase in the 93 is making noise and the tranny slips in third so time to get it done. I like the White also. Really easy to match paint when I get fenders and hood mounted. And Winters makes a shifter for it. Got to have a Winters shifter for cool points.

I totally understand the E4OD thing - just didn't get the 2wd at 1st, but now I got it. Either forgot or never saw the 2wd thing.

Took the Bronco to check the Trans and it was fine. Drive sharft was in need of a rebuild. Thing vibrated like crazy at 55 mph. Drives fine now. They said the trans was fine and had no codes. Also found out that the E4OD is a great trans to keep. So if anyone needs a C6 trans built by ArtCArr I have one for sale.

Thanks everyone. It's great to be a dad. Looking forward to getting things moving on the new Bronco after the Holidays. I have a storage unit full of long travel stuff and new wheels and tires. Do 35's fit front ends with level kit? Wait and see......

Well, after a lot of crying and sobbing, I realized that having a crazy long travel Bronco was not practical right now. I decided to sell all of the 2wheel drive equal length stuff and stick with the 4wheel drive. I traded John from Autofab all the front end stuff for cut and turned beams, radius arms, and cross-over steering. John will have everything done in a few weeks. I still have the Alcoas from you that are going on with the bf all terrain 35 in my garage. Everything should be on by the end of next month.

The 4wd stuff is waaaay more practical. I don't think you'll regret it. The big, bad wide stuff is amazing but, in reality, these things work incredibly well with stock width suspension. It's ridiculous how fast they can be with really simple suspension. Sob no more, it'll still be a blast!

That answer is WAAAAY better than what I expected. Personally I would have stuck with 4wd from the beginning, but that's just me. Glad you are keeping the bronco & still putting some GOOD parts on it!

Can't wait to see pics!
