What have you guys done for rear storage?

Quite a few owners have fabbed up some neat cargo area storage drawers, etc.

I have 7 hooks in the cargo area. 4 around the right size to hold down a 35" flat on the ground, on the driver side. And then another two on the passeneger side, which hold down a rubbermaid cargo box. The realy pain in the ass for me is how to carry my subwoofer box, so I am going to eventually build a fiberglass enclosure in the passeneger side cubby.

im still working on my cargo area. since i put the 36" beard bench in,there is lots of room. im waiting to cage my cab,but i think i will hold a nitrogen tank,and a couple large ammo cans with stuff....i still want to have some room for extra gear for passengrs.

For now I have 2 lengths of 1 3/4 conduit pip that are bolted through the floor with eye bolts on the corners. THis has allowed me to reconfigure as I need. Spare tire, cooler, ammo can tool box and high lift. The pipe acts as a rail and then I use ratchet straps to keep them palnted. I used to have the high lift mounted against the back seat across the bars and wing nuts to hold it down worked great until the shocks came though the floot. Now the high lift is attatched to the shock hoops but that will change at some point too.
Future plans after the cage is finished will be a box with sliding drawers prbably 8" high and several anchor points for rachet straps.

I really like this set up but if I go this route I'd mount the spare tire on the driver side to free up some of the blind spots in the right rear:

Here are some photos of the back of my bronco. There are tie down loops on the cage and floor. I made a metal frame to fit over the plastic totes which keeps them from moving. The winch drops into a receiver that is tied into the cage. Ahead of the cargo area I have a "convertible" configuration.

Option A) Two gerry can holders with two 6 gal water jugs, and I can stack two 35" tires between them. I use the latch bar in the floor that the rear seat would latch to for an anchor for tie downs for the tires with straps running up the center of the wheel and off to the cage tie down loops.

Option B) Remove the gerry can holders and extra spares and put in the OEM rear seat. I also have a cage cross bar behind the front seats that is on those tubing connectors so I can remove it and leave it out when I am using the back seat. If I'm going to run it hard, it's configured as a 2 seater with this extra cage bar installed.

I also have a bikini top that snaps onto the cage when I take the shell off the truck. The back seat is a very nice place to travel with the roof removed and the bikini top for overhead shade. This is summer beach cruiser mode.

That looks good! I am loving my Lowrance 840! So much easier to see. Do you have any issues blocking your vision with it mounted up on the dash like that?

From my line of sight the top of the gps is about even with the front right corner of my hood. So it does not block my view of the dirt.

I took the spare off the inside mount and laid it down and put my huge azz BOX on top of it...still room for a decent size cooler on the side...I mounted eye bolts to the inside of the rails and strapped the stuff down...Haven't gone out weith it yet, this is all in hopes of eliminating the rattling of the spare and the bouncing around of the huge azz BOX...BOX is huge, got a little of everything in it, tools, shovel, strap, TP, chains, hammers, sledge etc...Thinking of downsizing...roll up tool pouches and some other soft sided containers/bags to reduce the noise then put them into the BOX.
