What a phenomenal weekend! The scenery was endless, often making it difficult to focus on the trail. I've been camping in the Sierras for 35 years and must say, the White Mountains offered some fantastic new scenery. It was the first time my family had been up that side of the half pipe. Greg was such an awesome tour guide and trail boss. His knowledge of the trails and history of the area are extensive. We had a blast listening to him on the radio. Thanks so much for leading the way Greg!! So awesome to see you putting Ol' Yeller through it's paces. What a fun ride.
Aside from drunkendownonhisluckdoglessbikerdude keeping some folks up at night, I think we all had a blast. Really gllad we made this trip. Can't wait for the next. Not much for words at the moment; however, there is so much to say that it rivals the scenery. So much fun! Had to be there! One of you guys wanna fill in the blanks? Haha!

Re: June 13-15 Eastern Sierras trip
A fun trip, so nice spending time up in Bishop with those that made it up there. When we do this again? Who knows... So I'm glad several of us were able to take advantage of the fantastic weather. Greg did a great job putting the trip together and taking care of us. He stocked us with firewood and provide a "welcome package" for each truck that included BFG Racing steekers and two great maps (North/South Inyo County). I would not hesitate doing another trip coordinated and led by Greg.
On our second day we had a small issue with one rig overheating during the initial assent, but no issues after that. Because Greg was so gracious with showing people around, our group grew with a Jeep that was staying at our campground. They were very patient with our traffic stops to coordinate some gofast opportunities.
Here are some final pics from me:

Re: June 13-15 Eastern Sierras trip
Great weekend and fun bunch of folks. Much more fun stretching Ole Yellar's legs with other like minded wheelers. Adrenalin rocks!
Probably more slow technical wheeling than some would have wanted, but from counting all the hoots and yahoos on the radio it seems the good fast two track and wide empty graded roads made up for the slow stuff. At least in the slow sections we got to enjoy more of the awesome vistas. Swear you could see past Nevada into Utah.....haha!
We had two father son teams on the trip, Richard and Don Moss and Alfredo and Billy (Rustbucketracer) on this Father's Day run which made it that much more special. Next years run has already been named The "Drag your Dad along Run", so mark your calendars. Will post up more of the story tonight. Hope all made it home safe and sound.

Re: June 13-15 Eastern Sierras trip
That sounds cool! I really hope to make the next one but I don't know if I can wait that long. I was hoping for something in the fall. We usually camp in Big Sur in October but maybe your neck of the woods would be better...?Broncodawg wrote:Next years run has already been named The "Drag your Dad along Run", so mark your calendars.
Again, looks like it was a great trip and I really am bummed I missed it. Thanks for the photos!

Re: June 13-15 Eastern Sierras trip
The instructions don't say anything about no fall trips, so let's do it.
If it is half as much fun as this one was, it'll be great.
What a great crew, even though we stopped alot to regroup, shoot pics and just BS, we covered alot of ground. Guard, Bondo Bob and Yikes did much of the run twice, doubling back to run sections over again. Funny how rolling cameras entice us to do the things we do to our rigs!!
Did Nick ever get his cheese bread or did it get eaten on the way back to LA???
