Re: The Gun Thread
I've gone from these:
.22 trainer (sporterised) hasnt changed.
Ugly POS #1 with Indian .410 barrel has bee reworked with 18.5" Lithgow .303 target barrel, stock has bees sanded to remove the shitty paint job and a full re-work of the action. It aslo will be fitted with an Addley Precision mount and either a Tasco 1 x 42 red dot, or a XLT Trophy in 1.5 - 7 x 40 with mil-dot reticle.
To these:
#4 has a ATI stock, Addley Precision mount and Bushnell XLT Trophy 6 - 18 x 50 scope fitted..22 trainer (sporterised) hasnt changed.

Re: The Gun Thread
This is my little Remington Model 700, 50 cal Muzzle loader. I have not shot it yet because I can't take it to an indoor range. It kind of scares me a little. I have the powder pellets and some high accuracy conical bullets. I don't want to do the lead ball and gun powder setup.

Re: The Gun Thread
It really depends on the mfg what remaining portion is the last 20%. Some brands it 2 cross holes, some it's the magazine well. Not sure what it would take to complete your brand. Each shop decides what features make up the 20% incompletion.Gilbee01 wrote:Any one ever get an AR 10 lower 80% milled?

Take it to the pala shooting range, it seems expensive to me. Or take it to bee canyon near hemet and then take the family on a nice little trip to idyllwild.Wrightracing.net wrote:This is my little Remington Model 700, 50 cal Muzzle loader. Re: The Gun Thread
Per the BATFE, the "builder" must complete 5 steps to finish the firearm. In most cases its all the holes drilled for detents and pins, plus the trigger well milled out, some do the mag well, but 6 to one...Rmc wrote:It really depends on the mfg what remaining portion is the last 20%. Re: The Gun Thread
I just got an Aris Arms 80% ar15. Paid $59. Two cross pins need drilling and trigger area needs milling out.

Re: The Gun Thread
I've heard some were selling the 80%ers with a clamp on steel plate drill guide that snapped over the side to complete the cross holes. I personally haven't seen them though.

When I get the time to go out to Superstition, I will go to the outdoor range off of Wheeler. That is where I sighted in my AR. 100 yards 2in grouping first time out.FUFIMI wrote:Take it to the pala shooting range, it seems expensive to me. Re: The Gun Thread
Love me some lever action. I always wanted a 30-30 ever since watching the rifleman as a kid.

Re: The Gun Thread
My first rifle experiance was a lever action Winchester 1870 44-40, I felt so cool.
Then it was uncles bright idea while him and my dad had a few beers to have me shoot his 45 beretta did i mention i was 7 years old.... So after some tears and a bloody lip I learned about recoil on handguns.
Some lessons must be taught early on I guess. But I didn't drop it
