I'm all for the th400 too. Fact is I'm bummed I blew my wad on a c6 to find a culhane th400 and adapter plate for the Ford small block a week later for the same amount I paid for the c6 (both were fresh rebuild Culhane trannys). I was younger and didn't have the capital to buy the th400 as well and then re-sell the c6 so I had to let it pass. Soooo bummed on that one, but oh well.

An adapter is available to put the TH400 to the Ford V8 but no adapter for the BW1356 to TH400. Any ideas how to mate the two? It might be an interesting conversion.

Or an ATLAS II. The race truck uses SBF to T400 to Atlas II. It is the strongest and shortest combo by far.

The 241 is the best choice but you have to change the output to a solid yoke instead of the slip yoke. Kits are regularly available.
