Looking for intrest

Post by Polarcub »

Hey guys just a quick question to get a feel if the interest is there but who would be interested in doing a poker run style of event using the Barstow to Vegas course? Before you say its not possible it is and hopefully I can break some big news soon....but in the meantime there is a thought that this may be something that will be offered. I know for myself I would love to do it. The thought is limiting the event to 100 vehicles. ...Your thoughts?

Depending on the date and if my Bronco is still in USA and ready, I would be up for it. Something I'd love to do :D :D

No dates as of yet and it will not be a strictly bronco event. What my thoughts are on the matter is pretty simple really. I am seeing this as pre run similar to how BITD does it or a poker run format with checkpoints and after run prizes of course. Still in the brainstorming phase on it but for me the chance to run a course that has not been run in its entirety in many years is quite appealing. I am guessing the cost will be in the 200-300 dollar range per vehicle and that will include post run dinner?
Please post anything you would like/not like to see for this type of event I want people to be able to push their vehicles but it will not be a competitive race. The total cost factor and logistical plan still needs to be worked etc but if we can make it happen I think it would be a blast for all!

I'd still be interested. :D Agreed it shouldn't be a competitive event, as some might get too excited and cause problems. I wouldn't be the fastest out there, as I want to finish the trip without some idiot punting me in the date to get past. Keep up the good work. :D

Sounds cool! Hear of bike and buggy groups doing it now and then and love to see it.
