Hey guys I searched with no results. I have a 96 Bronco and I’m curious if it’s supposed to have a low fuel light? Just wondering if I need to track down another issue or pay better attention.

Nope. 32 gallon tank, so just figure out your normal MPGs and watch the odometer to figure out when you need to refill.

Are you having the typical fuel guage problems? I plan to replace my sending unit with the Holley Lidar unit. It has no moving parts.

I am putting a new in tank Holley fuel pump and will do both at the same time.

Interesting. I hadn't heard of that... will look into it for when I pull the tank out of Wilson.

The # 19-250 requires a new gauge as it wont work with stock fuel gauge, meaning a new dash setup. The result is a chance to build a whole new instrument cluster.
However one still needs a supply and return for to deal with fuel flow.
On Wilson there is an access plate in the floor to R&R of the existing gauge/sender. I seriously doubt if the additional hole Holly unit requires will fit thru that access plate. Thus tank removal would be required. Regardless the existing stuff in side Wilson's tank does need updating even if the sender portion is ignored. Changes needed are a new hose and new fuel socks. Which means it has to be removed and the custom Nitrile gasket will need replacement.
All very doable.
Low fuel light ? Considering what can be done with modern smart gauges these days I suspect a low fuel light should not be an issue. Look at Speedhut of Autometer for these gauges.

Yes. Wilson is due for a fuel tank drop and a good going through. The fuel pumps are noisy these days, but both still provide plenty of pressure with no drivability issues. The redundant pumps provide peace of mind... I switched pumps a few months ago just to run the one that's been sitting dormant for a few years. The back of the car came down on a rock a couple years ago and landed on the fuel tank skid plate... held up fine but it put a good crease on that side of the tank. I keep telling myself it needs to be re-made... out of aluminum, but that's a stretch since it's still working fine. We'll see.

Regarding the low light, the GPS on my TW200 has a fuel range tracking up that works quite well. I don't remember if the AiM Sports dash in Wilson has one... haven't ever needed it, but it certainly wouldn't hurt.
