I was quite distressed and dumfounded myself last night. For the life of me I dont understand how the American public is willing to continue down this road. With that said I I think one of the problems is that our two party system has become completely corrupt and that a bigger problem then the president is that our elected officials do not care what the average american wants or needs. Their agendas are driven by campaign donations and whatever effort can get them in favor with somone who can move them up the political ladder.
I did not think that electing Romney was our answer but I felt he would help steer away from the socialist structure that is being built. I hope that the agenda that is in motion will continue to be fought and pray that the gravity of our national debt is truly realized. By most accounts I have heard/read over the last year the European crisis will be seen first hand here in the next 3-4 years unless we make some major changes. Taxation is not the answer and quite frankly I for one have had enough of being taxed and do not feel that redistributing wealth will solve a thing. In fact it will (as already stated) cause those in a greater financial position to hold on to their money even tighter because if they make more they will pay more.
On the upside as Steve said we live in a great country and we have the opportunity to change our direction. Another 4 years I feel will be tough and the average family stands to suffer. There will be no relief in when it comes to energy prices which affect all of our lives in many ways. We will endure though and hopefully emerge stronger.
I do have moderate hope that their is some sense of urgency from Obama as he has requested that Mr Romney be a key part in figuring out the budget. We will see though.
In the end everyone needs to accept the situation regardless of who they voted for and unite to solve the problems.

The military gets to vote...deployed forces do have to work and plan harder to register and recieve absentee ballots. Sometimes they do not recieve them or they are not recieved by their registar due to mail delays.
The problem here is that absentee ballots are usually not counted unless the margin between candadites is so small that they can impact the election. With the electoral college system though this is almost never a factor because the ballots come from a broad range of districts and states. It is unfortunate to say the least.
I tend to get a bit upset at the media on this issue because both sides like to play this card and demonize the other and the whole story is never told. The military works extremely hard to get our servicemembers to vote and many due but sometimes things are beyond the control of anyone.

That is not the case Josh... I voted for him, has nothing to do with being with the cool kids, just simply based on things I saw that I like in Obama, and also based on things I did not like about Romney.

I personally have worked in Sales and Sales Management for 15 yrs, and the first rule they teach you is never get into a discussion about Politics or Religion, it ALWAYS ends bad because people feel usually feel very strong about their opinions... That being said, I am not out here trying to convince people, I believe everyone is a grown up and should be able to go out and research and make an decision based on what they research and believe.

Keep in mind, this country is great because everyone is entitled to their opinion, and because of that, I also choose to respect that folks that do not support Obama have their opinion.

People started replying with their opinions and how they were gonna vote. He said he didn't want to get into this it was just an email getting people informed. I told him "Never discuss politics at work, you originated this email and I dont want to be a part of it when HR calls you, please dont copy me on it". hahahaha

So true Andy... I happened to be at a corporate dinner 4 yrs ago when Obama was first elected, and one of my Sales Directors began a light conversation with the VP of Sales (his future boss), 1 hr later ( and a few drinks as well) it got extremely heated..... needless to say it did not go well for the sales director. He is in another division now... hmmmmm
