That's funny. That's exactly what the trophy kart mod classes are running.

Those rally buggies look awesome!
Perfect timing to spark my brain farts as I've been thinking about building a mini buggy like thing for future kids. Well, for me too, but something to make use of the motor out of this Honda 50 I can't sell. A 108 stroker motor should push a cart like that fast enough for a kid I'd think.

More than enough if its a shifter kart with the centrifugal clutch. My nephews trophy kart has a Honda 450 and that thing does amazing even in glamis.

clutch part is where I'm semi stuck right now, but I've only had this idea for a week or less. Been thinking I'll go after a quad that is parting to get the rear end setup & front hubs, etc. May go golf cart stuff if that's cheaper & will hold up. Never really looked into any of this stuff before, just know I can fab the cage/frame to hold all the parts pretty easy & it should be pretty simple to pull off in comparison to a full truck build.
Now that I found that site that Erik linked above (thanks for yet ANOTHER distraction buddy!
) I'm sure I'll get some ideas there

Try looking for a Honda 70. I had one when I was a kid. No suspension but it had a 4 speed with no clutch and would go anywhere.

His motor is the same as a Honda 70, you can swap parts to make it an auto clutch or whatever.

yup. Stock clutch on the 50's is 3 speed auto. Mine was converted to manual, so will have to trade for one of convert back. Or teach the kid to drive a manual... haha.
I've also toyed with the idea of looking for one of those overly cushy chick quads with reverse so I could use that setup.

That'd be good. Fucking carts are heavy and suck to push around with no reverse.

Re: Prerunner Bronco Pic Post-& other cool stuff too...
That was my thought. Other thought then is "this was supposed to be made out of mostly stuff I already had. I wonder how much I'd have to dump in $ wise to get that feature...?"
Either way I've got a while before I'm gonna even look at building this thing, just gathering photos & ideas as of now. Gotta finish some crap 1st - haha

Hahaha yeah I know how that goes. Keep in mind that the cushy quads tend to run cheaper ad most people want the bigger quads.

I built one Steve pita. Don't use Chinese crap quads and I suggests using the drive train out of a 250 or bigger. Better shocks and stronger parts. Stick with name brand stuff so you can get parts when it brakes. hade around 1200 in parts with the one I built.

Re: Prerunner Bronco Pic Post-& other cool stuff too...
Awesome Josh - thanks for the info.
Goal originally was to start with the motor out of this 50 sitting here (108 stroker race bike) & try & trade off the rest of the parts from that to get the spindles, hubs, etc. from a quad to use on the cart.
Maybe I'll just see if I can trade the complete bike for a quad with a bent frame or something. Who knows.

I have found full rollers for around. 2-500. They were 350s. I'm thinking of building a armed front and rear buggy soon for my kid with a Kx 85 for power plant. But will see

good to know.
In the 5 minutes or less I quickly searched CL I saw an ATC or 2, but not much quad stuff. I'm sure I'll find more as I get rolling on this.
