Many many thanks for everyones donations. Danny, the El Oasis director, was thrilled and overwhelmed with the generosity and motivation everyone showed with the donations. We were able to raise $1,300, not to mention all of the food, clothes and supplies that we brought for the orphanage and the kids. The materials and the money will go a long way in helping the kids! Wow, great job everyone! Our donation campaign for El Oasis was just another part of the BajaHID Excursion that was a great success. As Tom mentioned above we brought it some much needed money and not to mention lots and lots of clothes, shoes, home supplies and school supplies. I took this snap shot before dinner of the full size chevy long bed with a camper shell and it was full from front to back. We were running late to get back to HP Ranch when Danny from El Oasis arrived. Workers from HP Ranch saw Danny loading the truck and they jumped in to lend a hand as they said there was soooo much stuff that he couldn't load it alone. How awesome is that! Again, thank you for your big hearts in making a difference in the lives of the orphans at El Oasis. You'd be surprised at how little it takes to make a big impact for an organization like El Oasis and us GFBers made a difference. Thank you.
Big Kudos to the GFBers for all the donations, this truly makes it cool to know we are giving back, Danny was great and did Q and A for us!! He also spent some time sharing how things work at El Oasis, I'm glad he was able to join us for dinner.
