Got you down Tiffine and Greg (Broncodawg).

Yahoo! Run is right around the corner. Can't wait. Finally got my race radio in last night. Still have a few odds and ends but started to pack the rear of the bronco with all my gear.

Hey,

Is anyone staying at the Holiday Inn Express out by the outlet center? I've heard a few people mention it but don't know exactly who might be staying... I've got reservations there Thursday night... thought maybe if anyone else is there, we might try to get together for a late evening meal... just a thought. I'm most likely not going to make it until probably 2000ish... (that's 8ish), but should be ready for some chow... and a little social time!

Looks like my better half may not end up making this trip... So there's a possibility that I may have the shotgun seat available, if someone is looking for a ride. I'll be headed to the meeting point from Loma Linda, CA. PM me if you're interested ;)

What time are you planning to head out? Dale and I were going to hit the road between 8 and 9.

Although I agree on some levels (one or two vehicles perhaps), there could be some consequences should an injury accident occur in the group. Consequences or risks could include a delay on emergency response or ticketing/fines. Since this road is very well known and I'm sure has multiple gates on it, I'd anticipate they're all closed. Anyone have insight on this? Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong about something...like the 4th time I think.

The risk of the US government defaulting on our loans (China = largest investor) doesn't occur until Oct 17, which seems to be widely accepted as the "deadline" that a deal must be struck by. In short, we might not see any resolutions this week and National Park access would remain closed. There are only 3,266 of 24,645 National Park employees currently working through the furlough.
