Bilstein trailer is being packed and should be on the lakebed Sunday 1/29 through 2/11 tuning shocks.

Happy to work on bronco shocks as time permits between KOH race vehicles.

See you there!

Anybody putting together any camping plans....GoFast compound?
Perhaps the first folks out could grab some real estate and post up here some coordinates or the location? Phones suck in hammer town.
Is there a race freq you guys monitor for shout outs? Kaveman, weatherman?
Prepping and packing friday to roll out Saturday for the whole week and happy to help make this happen if there is interest?
Psyched!

I can listen up on Kaveman freq...I am still trying to figure out my exact plans since I am pitting for the 4454 car...If I am not camping in the pits in Hammertown I will meet up with you. I wont be out till tuesday or wednsday though. Hopefully I will know soon though. I think weatherman is going to be used by the promoters for race stuff.

Sounds good either way, no biggie. Will likely be camped JUST before you get to H town on the road in. We'll be about a hundred yards from the road on the left. Will have an american flag over a Ford racing flag on a tall pole with a blue strobe and a white rotating light and will monitor kaveman. Camping right in town can be a good time, but going to keep my distance a little haha!

Freqs that KOH will be using for different needs.

1 151.490 Best in the Desert
2 157.450 KOH 1
3 151.470 KOH 2
4 151.715 BFG Relay
5 153.395 BFG Pits
6 153.455 Baja Pits
7 151.505 Checkers
8 144.860 PSC 1
9 144.900 PSC 2
10 151.625 Weatherman

Look forward to meeting you, but if we don't, been wanting to come out to help at one of your races one day.

Sounds good man, I will definately find you when I get out there. I stayed in H town last year and would prefer to keep my distance haha If the Desert Concepts pit has room though I will be in there if not Please save a little room for me if you dont mind....
As far as coming out for the races your more than welcome too...Our season is a bit of a mystery right now since we are having to put together a new motor on top of everything but I think we will make the MORE July race and possibly one other we are kinda looking at taking it ewasy this season to make a committed run at the championship next year but we will see it looks like we may be getting some much needed help for the motor.

On second thought, can't put kaveman freq in my motorhome radio so give me a shout out on weatherman since it is their #10 freq. They'll get over it. haha!
PMed you my cell and if you do the same, can call you Sunday with where I'm at, once parked.

See you out there.

Ok guys I'm heading out tuesday night. If my motor mounts make it in by monday I'll be in a white stocker. If not I'll be bouncing around in a red bobbed toyota pick up being towwed out by a white CTD with a pop up camper. Keep an eye out for me.
Is there a GFB camp? As of now I may be rolling out by myself and would enjoy company around the campfire.

I think Broncodawg and I are trying to meet up out there. I will know more sat/sun as to where for sure I will be. I will be out in my white 95 Bronco and a small breadbox trailer that needs a paint job badly haha. I will keep an eye out for you.

On my way up bright and early, planning on arriving at 7am Friday to catch the green flag @ 8am. Not my first choice on getting up there, but it'll have to do... haha.
Gonna ditch this u-haul and travel the final 20 miles on my rusty trusty '83 Honda 250 XL. Decided to leave the Bronco with Southwest Performance to finish instead of pulling out just for KOH, just didn't make sense.

LoL, so it was

My poor '83 Honda 250 XL got spanked today...I had no idea there'd be so much soft sand! It was difficult to keep it upright, especially without lots more power and some better knobbies. I think it overheated, had to let it rest for over a half-hour and it ran like crap the last couple hours. Usually it starts on the first kick, but now you have to kick the hell out of it with full choke. :? Broke off my license plate somewhere out there too. However, I had a blast! $200 in Uhaul related expenses though... Time for some Advil and ice packs.

These aren't the best pics, but it's something for all those who missed it. I heard Robby Gordon blew his engine early on in the lake bed...too bad. Erik Miller 2012 KOH winner!

It was an absolute zoo! Bummed I didn't get to meet any of you gfb guys out there. Did see a couple of cool broncos just no opportune times to check em out. I did get to chat politics with Joel Wednesday night around the hammertown campfire. (Sorry I didn't introduce myself Joel, I was the guy in the gt jacket that probably was slurring and stumbling  LOL. Had a lot of fun that night)
I had an absolute blast, next year I want to do the whole week.
