I'll speak here for Matt as I doubt he will post but we both had a BLAST! I know his 1st baja trip will be engrained in his head forever. I also know for a fact I've ruined tacos for him as he now realizes why nothing north of the border can ever compare! If you do end up dreading this Matt - thanks a ton for being an awesome chauffeur all weekend.

My pics will be up later after I get some work done and then have time to sort through them.

Oh, and I guess this is as good of a time/place as any to announce my newest brain fart on the truck. Many of you know I've been thinking of dumping the '74 supercab body on a 80'-90's F-250 4wd to get the d50 TTB front on the thing. Well, it seems to be snowballing a bit and after this trip and a random conversation with Augi on it where I came up with a weird idea, I've had a TON (been going through the "how to" type thoughts non-stop since the ride home yesterday morning) of thoughts about making a real frankentruck...

Picture this with a stock type hard top, 4 seats and 35" projects instead of the redneck balloon tires

Hmmm, that sounds like a pretty good idea to me. Its almost like a stretched 78-79 Bronco except you have two more windows.

Pretty much. I like the look of the ex-cab windows and the fact that mine will have a TTB instead of a solid axle (how's that for backwards bronco thinking FSB????). Oh and my '74 grill will stay on the sucker as I'm not a square headlight fan!

1st one = "ahhhh, now this is Mexico" 1st stop over the border = al pastor tacos of course!

Love how the GPS has no clue where we are in the 1st one -WTF - haha. Also the one at the boder line is classing. Back from no background info in Mex to the US...

Ok I lied - just one more...

This is what happens when you leave your bag of gummie bears on the hot trans tunnel for a few hours. They turn into a weird, multicolored ooze type stuff

No worries though as a dunk in the cooler for the rest of the trip turned them back into their normal, gummy type stuff, just in a bit uglier form. I can assure you it tastes good still though as it turned into today's after lunch snack

WOOOHOO! The crazy Aussie went to Baja and came back alive!

Man, what an experience! Apart from my Bronco's tranny puking out fluid from the front seal whenever it overheated, I have had the best time in years. The best people, the best trucks and the best place to be all together having fun...... in BAJA!!! My never ending thanks to those who helped me, especially Rick, who hauled my POS out on Friday arvo when the trans ran dry and everyones support because I felt like a dick for breaking down

My heartfelt thanks to Bill Vance for the unforgetable run in his prerunner, that thing is totally awsome!!! To Rick, for letting me co-dawg in the Flying Bronco, and boy, did it fly

To Tony, Vic, Chris, Tom and Jules for all their work to set this up, and the others who helped and assisted along the way, you guys did a great job organising and seeing it through the weekend. To Nick and Craig for their humor and friendship, you guys are great. I cant say enough for SteveG, who helped me buy my Bronco, and for the work he did to get it reliable for the trip, he is such a great guy. To Agustin, for coming along and taking some great pictures of us having fun, to Philo for helping out and getting dirty to help everyone get going and keep going. Steve (Chasetruck), Matt, John Emkhe from Autofab, Randy and Carly, Andy and Lily, Buck and Cody (didnt forget you, little buddy

Ryan and his brother, Bill and Maddy, Brian and Carmen, "Jackie" Gleeson and anyone else whose name I cant remember. This GFB community absolutely rocks, I have met the greatest bunch of people here and to be with you all in Baja made it an unforgetable experience. Thank you all for taking me in as a friend and buddy, and for the assistance to help get back to CA under the Bronco's own power.
I havent forgot to mention our numerous sponsors who donated so many great products for the raffle, for Todd and his crew at HP Ranch for allowing us the run of the place, the weather, for not cooking us or our trucks so we could have fun and for God, who gave us Baja to go play and forget the stresses of life, even for a few days. Over the next few months when I get back to Aus, I am planning the upgrades to the BabyBajaF100 and I would love to bring it over when its finished for a repeat BAJAHID expedition next year. A RHD F100 in Baja, I can see it now.

Thank you all for such an amazing trip! What a fantastic group of people. I'm glad to hear Randy and Rod made it out of Baja with their Broncos. Tuff guy award should go to Jackie. I almost felt guilty watching him take that pounding in an open jeep as I cruised along with the AC pumping and 17" of travel soaking up the ruff stuff. Autofab suspension kicks ass!

Ryan post up when you get a chance. I know you and your bro had some serious travel ahead of you, but let us know you made it ok when you get your wheels down.

A huge thank you to Bill and Maddie for letting Cody ride in the trophy truck! That absolutely made his trip. He sure came back with a long list of stuff we need in the Bronco.

Looking forward to the next GFB trip!
