Bronco RIP to Baja
Bronco RIP to Baja
Any interest?
When? I like after the SCORE 250. Still cool and the racers will be gone.
I can put together a bunch of USR files for some pretty different & unique tracks.
I like a start like this -- Tecate to Saldana to V Trinidad then head in the direction to either Mikes or San Felipe. Either way can way allows travel beyond on the east or west side.
I will be working on some legs (before GPS) that have not been used since the 70s. Wish me luck on my preruns.
I can put together additional tracks to Cabo or to LaPaz for a longer trip, but a southern trip requires hwy travel.
For sure it would require a proven rigs, functional Low range 4wd, 2 spares, recovery stuff, 2 5er gas cans and the ability to camp out when we get delayed, broke, or find sleep places full. And the usual stuff we need in Baja. Like a big supply of Pesos & water, Lowrance GPS, & Race radio. More requirements will be listed later. The trip will be in the boon docks as much as possible.
What's on your bucket list? Give me a list the places you want to visit.
Travel N of Hwy3 would be a 3-4 day deal . Peninsula run would be more than a week.
The plan is to be flexible, and allow for revised routes real time for those tracks that some may not want to do. I have plenty of options.
Minimum will be 3 rigs. Max - no limit -- HA bring your sleeping bags.

Re: Bronco RIP to Baja
Very interested...VERY
I'm Mexico stupid, very little experience down there...aside from the last Baja HID trip. But I think I could get my rig ready for such an outing. It would be a good excuse to finally invest in a Lowrance! Anyway, I'd be interested in trip date considerations. I would be happy to contribute anyway I could...
Thanks, Michael

It wont be like the Moto Rip. The places I have in mind are more suitable for scenic and 4wd. Some crawling will be appropriate.
A mix of open (no gates) race tracks and some of my personal favorites.
We have to do the goat trail and the summit backwards. Of course a blast thru Salida and Diablo lake bed would be included.

I am in without a doubt, I love offroading in Mexico. I would like to explore the coast south of San Felipe. I am in Mexico a few times a month and I speak decent spanglish, and my truck should be plenty capable by then.

Dang no edit.... Sorry Rick, I think I misread your quote and thought it was directed at me. I'm only 30 years old so I am still trying to get the whole reading thing down....
