The sierras would be rad. It would be cool if the stars would align and get me to one of these outings.....

Up in the mountains above bishop is gorgeous in the summer. Plenty of camping and lots of fishing. Did I mention the fishing?

I'm always down for ocotillo Tony. The accomadations at desert ironwoods make it nice and convenient also. Load up the bronco and go.

I haven't camped in the sierras for quite a few years. Last time I was there I had a blast. Not sure if primitive camping is in the books for me (us) anytime soon.

But we are always up for a road trip.

Yup. One of my favorite areas. Was thinking western Sierras though, because it might be easier for the members up north. I'm down for anything that isn't dry desert. Get plenty of that throughout the year. Haha!

And Ollie! What a nancy!

Some inspiration from the Bishop side...

That looks awesome, Brian.

So all the following Jackass Meadows? Were you proposing in the campground or is there somewhere else to camp?

Ollie was a lost cause years ago! I remember back in the day when he would sleep in the back of his truck!

Ya I agree I skipped around a bit but that dudes review was funny, he complained about everything that could be griped about.. Bottom line him and his little dog had no business being that far from home. It looks rad id love to check a place like that out.

That's the place. I worked up there back in the 90's for a few weeks...sandblasting the dam at Florence Lake. Awesome area. Yes on the campground. It's primitive camping walking distance from the creek/river and the lake.

I'm really digging that place (judging by the photos). Nick wants to go during fishing season... don't know when that is. Anyone know?

I've never been to Ocotillo. I might be willing to try that some time. Rainbow Basin in Barstow is an idea, too. There is some really cool hiking there and, wait for it... caves!

We started to put together a Bishop run last year and happy to try again? Great campground near Bishop and hotels, fishing, good go-fast roads and some high altitiude scenery. How about it Yikes?
