So, what are you going to use for a tire mount? Are you going to mount the spare vertically? Or, are you going to lay it down like you've been doing?

I too spoke too soon... I now have to replace my VSS and the driven gear... still waiting for parts to arrive.
I also have some small shock adjustments to accomplish... still working on tuning. But, will I ever be happy?

Incorporating our idea, with a mount that has roomfor adjustment, and also taking some styling cues from the red Solo Motorsport Bronco. For now it will ony work with the backrest of the rear seat folded down, but I have plans to scoot the rear seat forward 3/4"-1 so it will work with it up as well.

This is where it will sit:

And then I will mount a grab handle" if you will like the one here on Solos Bronco so that I can lean it up against that, and it will have the tabs for a Y shaped strap, as well as the abilty to bolt down the tire.

Man I thought I had everything ready. Yesterday the rearend started some kind of funky grattle (grind/rattle). I intended to use next weekend to pack for another trip. Now it's down to the wire because I am out of town until the week before the Baja trip. Hopefully it's something simple...

It was nice meeting you! Wish we could have chatted a bit more, but time was running tight.

Right on Nick, I completely agree. I was trying to replace some bolts before the sun boiled my blood outside the shop and I see you guys were busy at Mark's. Listin , the pleasure was mine and the next time will be with cold ones in hand.

Well I got the rearend fixed. John at Autofab was kind enough to get it in and out in record time because I will be out of town until the Baja trip and this was my only chance to get it done. Ready to Roll. Game on!

I just saw this thread and started to make a mental list......oh shit
Bronco is pretty much torn apart right now and needs to be assembled.

Springs are on their way back from National after re-work
Shocks back from being re-built
Steering box back from re-build and installed but need new lines just received to be hooked up
Just received a box of new heims for steering and two link
New AC compressor is here needs to be installed and charged
New batteries need to go in
New Baja T/A's need install

Plus it needs basic oil & fluid changes

The last Baja trip was hard on the old girl.
