Yuma to Parker 3/29 - 3/30 Trucks and Bikes

Robb (bodypanel) and I are making the run from Yuma to Parker on 3/29 & 3/30 and all are welcome to join us. I will most likely be on my bike.

The plan -
Meet at Hidden Shores Early Sat. (3/29) morning and head North through Fisher's , Red Cloud Mine road onto small pavement section into Blythe for food / fuel. Small pavement section out of Blythe onto midland - vidal trail and into Parker. The route is about 165 miles and is a favorite motorcycle route of mine. We are planning on staying at Blue Water Casino and heading home in the morning. We will backtrack to Blythe then stay on the California side back to Yuma. This route can easily be modified so those of you up North can head home on the 10 or the 78 instead of running all the way back to Yuma on Sunday.

The terrain -
Very mixed, high and low speed sections, some deep sand so if you are 2wd you need to be prepared for that. Tougher than the Mojave Trail. Some pavement sections so you need to be plated. VERY fun route with little to no traffic and I'm 100% sure there will be no Mexican Military to deal with! So get off your butts and come join us!

Note- there are cheaper places to stay than Blue Water and there is a decent campground for those who prefer to camp. If enough peeps are interested, I could be convinced to camp.......

I am a little disappointed that there will not be a visit from the Mexico Army those guys knew how to party! Once we get to the Blue Water Casino I will be getting a room with two beds and lots of floor space so if the hotel stay is scaring anyone off you can stay in my room free as long as you don't climb in bed with me when I am asleep! I live in Yuma so I know of quite a few places to store trailers and such that will be quite safe. I also have a shop here if you need repairs. Look forward to a fun ride let me known if anybody needs anything.

Sounds cool i havnt been to Parker in a year or so... Where are you meeting up in Blythe and about what time?

Do you have a GPS trail for north of Fishers? I know from hidden shores to fishers pretty well.

Yes I do have a gpx file, I know this route pretty well from our dualsport rides.

I understood, but id most likely rally with you guys in Blythe. Just wondering if you had a certain gas station or store in mind for the mid trip refuel.

We usually stop at the Chevron on Lovekin, south side of freeway. As we get closer to the date, feel free to PM me your # so we can get in touch with you on the trail to keep you informed of our progress. We typically get there around noon, but obviously it depends on the size and speed of the group.

Getting the truck ready. Maybe I should take the 1/4" extentsions out of my exhuast and the spring retainer? Ah they made it through Mexico they can do one more trip?
