As some of you may know, I was building an orange 92 bronco. Well, I never did 100% complete it and ended up trading it for this 71 Bronco a few years back. The goal was just to have a nice cruiser/trail rig. We'll that hasn't gone as planned.
I got this from a good friend who lost interest but had already done some work to her. He installed full width axles from a 78/79 bronco, with 5.13 yukon gears, rear spool, and front possi. He had an engine cage built and installed 14" king coilovers. The rear had some wildhorses 3.5 springs, and they flipped the shackles and a 3" body lift. It was like a mini monster truck. Steering was provided by a "4x4x2" box as they call it. It has a warmed over 302 and was mated to the stock 3 speed.
After I got it, I decided to basically rip it all apart. Nothing, but the engine cage was really done right. Even that wasn't going to work, so it was cut out. The front axle is being replaced with a 78 f250 d44, which has thicker tube's and allows me to place the c wedges wherever I like. The steering box was kept, but moved forward almost 2 inches.

. Old shock mounts cut out, and frame cleaned up. After mocking in the front axle, the pitman arm and tie rod were not happy and did not allow for much up travel. So, I moved the box forward close to 2" for happy steering.
