Hi guys! I just became a member of the bronco community! just bought my first bronco and i had a couple of questions. first i wanted to see if you guys can give me a few pointers on my rear suspension. not sure if its working well because it does bounce around a lot. let me what you guys think and what i shoukkd do next. Thanks!

It's all about setup. You need to find someone who is familiar with shock valving to set that thing up. With that parts that are on that it should work great with proper valving.

A two link will help with leaf spring life and to control wheel hop. It will definitely improve the truck.

What leaves are those? National?

you know i have no idea of telling what they are. they did have a sticker but the past owner painted over it.

Great looking truck! Lots of good hardware, definately jealous

Like Philo said you got the right stuff you need to play with the valving. Either more rebound dampening or less compression dampening. With the bypasses you should be able to make that thing ride like a caddy. Set up a camcorder next to a section where the truck is misbehaving and drive by it to see what is actually going on. Tweak on it a bit and repeat. Frustrating and fun all at the same time.

Great looking rig! I love the approach to the rear shock mounts and the steering link, thats pretty cool! how is your change when it cycles?

Good looking Bronco! The rear does look like it needs some work for sure. If that's how your bump stops are set up at ride height I would suggest shorting the bumps so that your shocks are doing as much dampening as possible before you actually hit the bump stops. The way that the rear shocks are mounted is going to cause issues as well. Having the lower shock mounts mounted off the back of the axle like that will aid in more axle wrap. If you end up with a 2-link system that will take care of the problem, however for piece of mind I would take the pack apart and cycle it to make sure the shocks are set up correctly at bump too. Once you have those bugs worked out and some good valving in the shocks its going to make the rear feel ALOT better. When people set up bump stops up like that they seem to overlook the goal. The goal is to set up the shocks so they do most of the work. The bump stops are just there when you need them on hard hits. They are not meant to be used to as a secondary shocks. I personally would take the rear bump stops out if it was mine. I really only like to run hydro bumps with single coilovers, with a bypass shock you don't really need hydro bumps. Just a good set of rubber or urethane bumps would be just fine. For a single coilover application or a really fast truck that likes the deep holes then I use hydro bumps. Try taking them out and go drive it to give you a better idea of how it should feel.

Hey tuy thanks to all of yo for all the great tips!... I took my bronco out past weelend and had a guy work w/ the bypass and WOW!!! what a great improvement!!!!... Here are a couple of thing ive done to it...hey bronco_luis yes this bronco use to be in calexico but i got it odd a guy in mexicali..do you guys ride around the valley? I'd like to take it out some day to plaster city.. thanks guys!
