Pre Run It's 93 Bronco

Post by Pre Run It »

Ok so ive got some questions and figured it best to start a build thread and post some pics so I can get this thing moving Forward.

As far as what I know it has

5.8 auto e40d Seems a little under powered but not sure if thats normal
5" Coil in front (stiff) 2.5" Fox with Res 14"
Extended radius arms bushing mount

Rear has Currie 9" with Disc brakes and a locker but not sure what kind
Has bilstien 5100 series in Factory Mounts

Cage which needs work on the back half cause its cut before the bench seat no idea why cause in the rear at the tailgate its cut where the previous up portion was

Has kmc enduros bfg profects glass F&B and custom front and rear bumpers

here are some pics to start.

The Fuel pump was having issues so I Replaced it last friday and since this weekend im gonna be in glamis this will be my first chance at actually using this thing.

Im looking for some direction as far as what to do next...

I know I was planning on picking up some deavers and at the moment im talking to another member about picking up his rear leafs. Also replacing the rear bilstiens with 2.5 bypass. Was looking forward to leduc but sounds like its canceled

As for the front, that is where I really need the direction this thing sits increadibly level up front so would that mean it has already been cut and turned ? I was thinking about buying the front Deaver coil off another member but is that the right move to take...?

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Other than them having some flat spots till they warm up there actually alright. There not as loud or as rough as i thought they would be. There heavy but for street use i think the only thing there good for is to say you have them...

IM by the mall in meadow view. Yeah looks like there are a handfull of guys local. Im assuming a drop down kit is something we would want to replace ? How can I tell there is a drop down kit installed.

I had message in the events section that i was going and talked to some other guys. then later on someone posted they got off the phone with Leduc and said he couldnt strike a deal with the indians so it was going to be pushed back a few weeks and to somewhere else but unkown.

LeDuc's is still on! same place, time, rain or shine!.. and the the drop down brackets can be replaced by some Solo Motorsports TTB fabed brackets. If your beams were cut & turned, they would have had the lower ball joint ears moved outward... which is the most common way.. you'd be able to tell, if there was fab work done to them. I.E mig/tig welds around the ear so to say..

Yeah i got under and looked, didn't see anything.
Glad to hear swapmeet is still on. Im looking forward to getting some deals.
What is the benefit to getting the solo fabbed brackets ? Also c&t only helps keep geometry correct doesnt improve travel right ?

Benefit is that you don't have to search for stock weak brackets!.. And with C&T you still get 15"-18" of wheel travel.

I was coilovered with drop brackets for a while then went with c/t and there is a biography difference without shock tuning. Remember with c/t you don't have such a harsh stress point at the bushing end. I never had an issue with cracking th crossmember but alot if people have. Also you don't have to run a drop pitman arm which took out slop when I put the stock one back on. Also its easier on your steering box. I also ran into alot of funky bump travel issues. I also had alot of droop travel but not alot of up travel so it hit the bumps alot. You also won't be so hard on springs either. With coilover springs I actually dropped 2 or so inches of preload. My shocks run cooler too. You can fix all these but I prefer my c/t beams over a drop bracket. My tires wear better too.
I'm just here for the views. It helps me feel wanted.

Yeah I had been looking for a Bronco for some time but hard to come across a good deal on one that has work done. Honestly im only glad the bumpers and lights were done just about everything else will get reworked here shortly.

Well there were probably about 25 scratches on the hood the size of a quarter or larger and about 100 more that were tic tac size so I had a buddy wrap the hood with carbon fiber vinyl today.

If anyone wants something wrapped he does it SUPER CHEAP.

Yeah, bronco looks sweet! I really like the look of it so far. Thats a cool quick cosmetic fix too. Some people might hate on the CF look but either way the alternative is a LOT more work. I think it looks good with the white, especially on the close-up pic
