Start off with how I got the Bronco and a little about how it currently sits,
When my dad was talking to a fellow VORRA member, this Bronco came up in conversation. My dad was able to get a hold of the owner and it turns out that he had to sell due to his moving out of state. So we were able to borrow a truck and trailer from a generous friend and were able to pick it up for $1000.
As of right now the interior is pretty gutted, bunch of trim and panels piled up in the back. No seat except the drivers is in it. The dash is pretty torn down. Runs and is drivable
But its also got some goodies, Deavers in the rear (sticker is worn off, cant tell much about them), heimed/extended radius arms, the owner threw in two red Bear seats,rear fiberglass which is mounted already, came with fiberglass hood and front fenders which have yet to be mounted, Bilsteins up front, an extra set of Bilsteins shocks and coil buckets which are said to have been done by Camburg.
This will be a slow build but I'm not the brightest when it comes to anything automotive so I can use the time to learn.
With that being said, prepare for dumb/common sense questions and please try not to make fun of me

Not a bad score for $1k. It's a really good starting point - now have fun with it!

You forgot to mention the 35's with tons of tread on nice aluminum rims and that it has a 351W and the clean rear bumper that's already done

$1,000 is a great deal for the seller as well. Just think about all the money he would of spent in the long run if he would of kept it

I know! I'm looking forward to it. Mom gets the garage, the Bronco gets to go in the little space left in the side yard behind the race truck.

Lately I have been looking into engine cages and that is where i plan to start. Any important info or photos anyone feels like sharing? I practically know nothing, so anything helps!

So during the past few weeks i haven't done a whole lot.
Cleaned out the stack of goodies and crap that was stacked in the back.
Pulled radius arms and painted them black.
Pulled the stock dash that will most likely be replaced by a fiberglass dash.

Been a couple of .....days since I've updated this. Been going back and forth on keeping/getting rid of. Finally said screw it, keeping it. Thanks to lots of help with my brother we got the motor running pretty well (Always ran really rough) after swapping out the fuel filter and bad gas out of the tank. Also we connected a few grounds which were loose. Not prefect but I am really happy. Now that it runs well I feel confident enough in the project to begin a cage in the near future. Since I only work part time while I also go to college it won't be a quick, fancy luxury build but hopefully during the summer the big things like cage work and mounting the parts I have gathered over the years will be done.

Also the Bronco is now running beams trussed/extended/cut&turned/extended axles all done by Scott Strong/S&S Fab.

Projects are like fine wine, (dont rush) they get better with time. Glad you decided to keep it.

Cage will look like Ryan B's. I was planning to do one similar to his and I ended up always looking back at his and he knows what he is doing so it will be quite similar. It's going to be 2" DOM, I used to have a few pictures for what I was going to do but they are lost on my old hard drive.

It looks tough as nails! I like it bro very glad u kept it.
