That potential for strap pinching or bracket
Frame contact worries me too.
Will try your bungee idea, thanks.
Run it and see what happens!!

She is a roller after 4 months!

Again a massive 12 hour work session
Today.

Brakes r bleed
Power steering fluid in
HID lights are in
Glass is hung
Hood pins in
All tabs for remounting
Started engine after 4 months started right
Up with out hesitation.

Issues

Leaf spring shackles are hitting the under
Body support area, trimming required or
Hammering.
Hid main lights don't come on, everything
Other light works, probably wired wrong.

With HIDs you may have to repin the connectors...I had to try a few different configurations before mine worked correctly

Thanks Tony

Robertcrav, rechecked all my wiring and found
A few installer errors!
Forgot to ground the drivers side. And
The positive was not getting a good electrical
Connection. Fixed these two things and the Baja HIDs
Work perfect.

The Baja HID system came 100% ready to plug and play
And works great, very bright, wish the same could be said for the
Installer!!

Shackle issue is common when using F-150, ranger or other shackles. Broncos have more body "meat" there & hit as you can see with the 7.5" shackles. I think I remember 6.5" being as long as you can go with no contact there.

Be sure to reinforce what you cut out well. That is a pretty good support for the body & it will start cracking & pulling apart back there if a bunch of the structure is left out.

Yes, it's + 1 inch over stock that is about the max. It still leaves .200 or so but I'd be worried if urethane is being used as I would imagine the squish factor would allow contact.

That being said that's basically why solo makes the rear hanger drop kit. It supports the longer shackle while still allowing clearance.

Feel free to ask questions matt, lots of peeps on this site have been there done that and asking may save youa bit of extra work. I personally was going to do the exact same thing you did but was forewarned by another member. I'm glad to see others help me so in turn I'm more than happy to help others. Somehow I missed that the rear shackle
Hanger had to be lowered or get an after
Market one...,

I will reinforce the areas that got cut out.
