Um merced is quite the drive. I would be willing to pay for a flat rate envelope if you can trace out a set on some posterboard.

Come on that's not the right attitude! You could drive 5 hours and end up in this god forsaken place called Merced. Doesn't that sound like fun? haha Everyone should experience this place. Makes most others places seem that much nicer.

Thanks man, I think we talked before over on DR. I'm down for helping anyway I can. PM with any questions or whatever. We definitely need to get together sometime. I really wanted to go up to the PC meet but it just didn't work out. I know you said you doing it all yourself, but if you need anything done let me know.

Yeah i will definitely hit you up if i have any question, im new to the TTB game but i've done my fair share of research. PC meet was a pretty good turnout didn't expect 28 trucks to come out. i knew there was about 10 guys up here so it surprised me.

Thanks guys. I am going for sleek and low profile.

Got to love Half off sales at the junk yard. Spent $48.76 and got a new steering column, another set of pedals and the block plate for my tranny swap.

So you're going to swap in a 5-speed huh? I'm starting to lean towards this myself but I'm not quite ready to give up my C6 just yet. Maybe some video footage of a test run with a manual would convince me to slide off the fence and ditch the slush box.

Yup, I am not a fan of Auto's. Plus the tranny is trashed. I picked up a completely rebuild 5 speed awhile back. I still need to get all the Hydraulics, clutch and a few other parts.

I forgot they had the hydraulically actuated clutch. That shouldn't be too hard to swap over. The cool thing is in the end you'll have a lower first gear as well as an overdrive to improve all around reliability in both the dirt as well as on the road.
