Nice tire lift!! Im guessing its basically just a stock engine but the linked rear must allow some serious transfer of power-- thats a killer "Trophy-Truck Baja 1000 Off the starting line-esque" pic!!!

Yes the rear is very loose like that, though it floats the big stuff at speed like it's not even there.

Phase 2 should be next Summer to include opening the rear tub, addition of bypasses, big discs on the 9 and yes......a sway bar.

Switch boxes?

Think I've decided to put all the accessory switches on the cage tube above the windshield left of center, and a matching box with the race radio control head and two 2 1/16 DSM gauges right of center. Pretty close together though. I've been searching the Net, talked to a few folks and found some finished product but I'm lloking for a source for the raw boxes. One of the boxes is modular to be cut at different lengths but it looks like an erector set. Not my favorite.

Probably 8 or 10 switches = 9 to 11 inches box length. Depending on the construction it will have to be 2 1/2" or 3" square. Don't really want to fab something from scratch, but I don't mind powdercoating something raw. Any ideas?

Just my personal opinion, but if you want anything that looks 1/2 way decent & is pretty close to the size you want - have it fabbed up. There's lots of switch boxes out there, but none that really look great IMO. They all seem so big & bulky for what they are

Assembling pieces of the electrical puzzle while I price both prefab and custom fabbed switch boxes. For accessory power distribution I'm going to use two of these mounted opposing each other facing left and right under the dash in front of the new console. This way the wiring will be tucked away but the fuse cover will be accessible without removing anything. In total I'll be able to distribute up to eight 30A to 200A circuits via AMI/MIDI fuses and up to twelve 1A to 30A circuits via standard ATO/ATC fuses.

Now I'm trying to find some kind of nice relay mounting board that doesn't have fuses. Any ideas?

Talk to Dawnie at AWH he's not cheap but absolutely the best out there. Does most of the wiring on the trophy trucks.

Think there stronger than stock being hex broached ? I know synergy makes really good stuff but are these the first everyone's seen this type ? I for one haven't seen them broached before, but it would make life easier thats for sure . I was just wondering if anyone's triedthem before?

These are a relatively new product...not sure anyone else has run them yet

Their claim to fame is being rebuild able and strong

Kiefer installed a set last year. They had to be machined to fit because synergy didn't know they TTB 44 was different then regular d44 ball joints but that's all I know. I intended to run them in mine.....
