Little progress. Trying to keep the wiring simple.

Found more cracks while looking for routing points for the battery cable. These really suck. Can't ignore them. The good thing is this should be the source of the clunking I was hearing before, not to mention the wet floor. Won't be able to avoid a cage for too much longer.

You running dual batteries? What did you get the disconnect plug for, pulling the battery or charging?

Looks good!!!

In all honesty, that is just there to slow down the thieves when in Baja. I'll have it hidden and disconnect it whenever I'm away from the Bronco. I'm sure there are other secret ways to prevent them from driving away with it, but like I said, this should slow them down....at least 30 seconds. Haha!

Add a small (20-30amp) circuit breaker around the connector, that way you don't loose radio setting and the ECM learn. If someone tries to start it will just pop the breaker and kill everything.

Batteries are easy to find in Mexico.... however, the ignition module off of the drivers fender is much easier to carry and harder to find.

I've been thinking about some way of making my bronco undriveable for baja too... I was thinking making an easily removable, safe brake pedal, and throttle pedal.

The 30th month of the year. This thing is killing me. Not having fun working on it anymore. Wish I could just take it somewhere and say finish it!

Thanks man!

This week was a capital B. Worked 9hrs today, but managed to at least get the T-case shift handle made. Woohoooo! One more thing down. Gonna get it powder coated along with the battery tray.

Couple shots of the shifter.

Picked up battery tray #3 (haha) on Ebay. $35!! and I like it better than the previous two.

Not sure if you have an airbag that you want to keep, but if not why not just use a quick disconnect steering wheel and take it with you when in Baja?
