Yessir. Makes sense to me that's why I did it. :D

I'd like to get new poly body mounts too to match it all up. I also have motor and trans mounts I'm swapping to poly. Anyone use this set? http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-330 ... black.html

More pieces, hardware included. I'm doing research now trying to find the best price available. In my head I'm only counting 8 body mounts. Why are there sets of 12 or 20? Not sure what I need yet.

I saw the one has more pieces. But like you, I'm still not sure why there is a difference.

are you counting all the "pads" under the rear cargo area? Seems I'm always surprised by how many are there when I cut one of these suckers up again...

I've got the poly mounts on my crew. I think I have the energy ones vs. the prothane. I can't remember which. I do know the best price I was able to find on them was on Amazon though - so have a look there.

Also one thing to note is they don't sell the steel inner sleeve kit thing with poly kit & trying to get the ones out of your stock mounts without destroying them may be a tough ordeal. You can buy the new inner sleeves from LMC truck though, or I've even gotten them from the dealer in the past & I don't remember it costing a ton. that was about 10-12 years ago now though.

I built these to go through mine

TELL ME NOW! I can't figure out why a bolt together joint appears to be threaded internally to be bolted in... It's like some sort of crazy double removable redundancy for when one bolt strips out?

Are you going to thread the body mount bolts in to those in the cab and use them to make a removable cage? Wild guess!

But seriously what are they for?!

Have you done a rear shock mount yet? If not - that's my guess for the double removable tube mount things. I was going to say they were part of the engine cage, and you didn't like your original setup, but I couldn't see the benefit or change they would add so I dropped that.

Either way - I'm interested to see how you use them.

I like it. I recommend some sort of lock for the bolt? I'd consider drilling the threaded portion of the bung/coupler and bolt to use a cotter pin.

For sure. Gonna put a dab of locktite on the threads as well as a lock washer.

That was weird. It didn't show your second sentence till after I responded. Cotter pin is a good idea but I think lock washer and locktite should be fine. After all, thats all that holds the rad arms to the beams right?

Cool design, buff. Only down side I see is the inability to shank out the bolt. Maybe if its an option on design version 2.0 you can get the threads recessed a bit so bolt shank can pass through both sides.
