CHO - anyway you might be able too uno the rear coilover to the lower trailing arms? They are just so damn sexy in that capacity and I'd love to see your design in a set!

Im going to keep it off the axle and lean it forward, trying to keep things as simple as possible, all of my rear tube work is already done to be set up that way too.

Vintageironfab Shock tuning and stability should be better with the shocks on the axle. Ratio can be 1:1 making valving easier to figure out. This is my take on it. It may even help with the need of a sway bar to some extent.

Thanks Trever! Seabass, the opposite is usually the case with the shock off the axle, the faster shock shaft speeds make it harder to dial in right. Im confident I can get it working well though, kellan set the rears up based off of what they have been doing on Michael Cox's truck and his seems to work amazing, actually his truck sas the one that gave me the motivation to go this route. Regardless im sure it will be better than leaf springs, and running the stock axle was the only thing keeping me from links in the first place.

What's the reason for using that style 4 link vs the more common one? You and Mike (Smart Alex) both chose that style...

Andy, he said in an above post that Mike's truck inspired him to go this way. This version is slightly lighter on fab, which is why some guys choose it, although with Cho's skills I doubt this is the reason.
I had heard this setup was a bit easier to tune shock wise, but in the same post where he mention's Mike's truck above he also says shock tuning this way is harder, not easier.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. With a e40d in the stock location shock off the axle is a no brainer. Packaging is very tight on these trucks, and with the stock drive shaft angles i couldnt justify building full link arms, cutting the crap outta my cab, and killing passenger space with tube work. For what i want out of this truck im sure it will far exceed my expectations. Party on!
