After a good cleaning......I did run into one fitment issue I didnt anticipate that I think has more to do with the thickness of the glass and my poor body work skills both fenders are about 1/8" too high in relation to the hood. For know I am just letting it be but I want to fix it time to go pretty up the dirty bronco a little bit.

A quick update of a small project, I got tired of wool blankets on the floor after I realized pulling the carpet and putting down a roll on bed liner and then realizing that the floor is noisy and hot. So I decided to line the floor in the dense foam and then cover it in an outdoor carpet, there is a layer of wool blankets beneath too so onto the pics....

Just got back from driving the bronco and it is so much nicer inside now....I think I will be able to hold a conversation while driving again..haha all gassed up and ready for the Powder Puff

Wow I can finally add something worth updating the thread Anyways as some of you know my 8.8 has been smiling at me for the last year and the drivers side tube was starting to seep oil I have been trying to decide what to do for awhile and at the extent things were I was not comfortable playing in the bronco so Desert Concepts Inc helped me out with a temp fix to get me by until I get all the hardware in line for the Sterling 10.5 swap. I had the day off today and it worked for everyone so I took off this morning to head up to Hesperia and get this fixed. Well as soon as i hit the freeway I found out I had a cessna trying to take off in my cargo area



I pulled off to take a look under the the bronco and I find that my rear ujoint has wore itself through the yoke SO I call AAA and onto the tow truck it goes. SO know the first order of business is to find a yoke. Fortunately Bryan gave me a ride over to the local pick apart and we found one in the last row out of a 96 and the ujoints felt good So back to the shop where we got to work on the bent 8.8...DISCLAIMER the following is a bit redneck/shadetree mechanic but based on time/money limitations it is the path we traveled
After proper prep Bryan welded up the tubes our hope was that they would pull back in. We started on the lower half and what do you know it worked. The tubes were welded 360 and Bryan bent up a quick truss over the top that we secured to the ultra beefy bump pad boxes...remember this is to get me by for a bit so its not the prettiest thing on the planet but it should work for what I need. By the end of the day the tubes are pretty darn straight by eyeball and angle finder and I can take the bronco out again. The drive home was quiet and I am super stoked to have it back THANK YOU DESERT CONCEPTS! Onto some pics:

Finally an update....As some of you know I am finally going to coilover. The polarcub is growing up. 14" short bodied Bilsteins are ordered and should be ready for pick up monday or tuesday next week. I just picked up the 9" that is going to go in the rear with VSS set up internal like the 8.8. Desert Concepts is doing the install and fab for everything. New Beams c/t and extended 4" Axles will be lengthened, new radius arms with cross member (transmission crossmember) Hyd bumps all the way around and a link set up for the rear not sure we may go single or two...anyways I am very excited as is Bryan. I was hoping to have everything ready for the April gtg but I dont think thats realistic....oh almost forgot going rear disc and jumping to 37's....I think it is going to turn out very nice. Can't wait to see how the 37's do. I would love to run some. I've been scared based on most people opinions about anything bigger than 35's and TTB 44.

Andy I am a bit nervous as well on the 37's but what the heck...I guess we will find out. I am going back to an A/T tread as well. I need to find an airbox to mod up to help. We are going to push the beams forward about an inch as well and of course the bumps will be positioned to protect that!

Thanks!! I found it with some searching after I posted. Then I found a thread where someone said all you need to do is plate the back of the spindle to strengthen it.

Anyone know what needs beefed to safely run 37's on a 44 TTB??
