The fan will come on at a certain percentage when at an idle whatever temp the truck itself is at. That keeps air flowing through the condensor at an idle. My wifes bronco would be on the N of normal for twmp but the ac qas barely cold. Swapped the fan clutch and it is freezing even at an idle its cold and in the triple didgets outside.
Re: Ocejo's 89 budget Bronco
I recently tried an electric fan off a lincoln mark VII in place of the clutch fan. It did ok, but it was still shy on CFM for my application, others have had good results. I will definitely look into it. Is there a wasy to check if the clutch is working well?

Any update so far ?
Re: Ocejo's 89 budget Bronco
Been a while since I updated. Never fails, you do one thing and another comes up. I took it in for new tires yesterday, while I was there the water pump went out. So now I have new tires and a bad pump.
New stock tie rods came in from rockauto, a whopping $25 shipped for all four. Should be putting those in this weekend. Really need to align it soon...

35" generals red label. Wasn't very convinced on the red label but they were in stock so we'll give them a shot for now.

Re: Ocejo's 89 budget Bronco
I had the same issue with my AC. I pulled the engine fan off and put in a Vintage Air 18" Monster Fan with their fan shroud and it made everything cooler even in the dunes a Glamis. I was also running a B&M trans cooler with the AOD. Mine is no longer a Daily driver and now have a C6 going in when I get back to work on it.
Re: Ocejo's 89 budget Bronco
the small fan benid the grill made a huge difference. I just did close to a two hour wait at the border a few weeks ago, temp was between 190-200 with a/c running the whole time.
Re: Ocejo's 89 budget Bronco
Replaced the water pump and tie rods over the weekend. Also did a little trimming on the bumper.
