Bray's 96 Sleeper
Re: Bray's 96 Sleeper
A good news bad news update;
Good news is CHO and Richer Racing build a bad ass rear plate bumper.
Bad news, it had to prove itself on the street when a kid in a Range Rover destroyed his rig and my back rear ending me.
The funny- at the scene, even though the EMS and 1st responders were taking turns checking out the bronco, which was parked right next to the Rover,
passersby could be heard asking; "where is the other car? What did he hit?" because the old girl barely blinked. Bless her big fat behind.
Range Rover was dead on impact and had to be pushed and then towed away.
Bronco had spare tire carrier pushed into the gate, creasing the tin and putting a slight bend in the tire gate.
Oh, and scuffed up my powdercoat.
Gonna have the guys at Richer check her bow to stern to inspect all welds, heims, crossmembers, driveine etc and make sure I havent missed anything underneath.
All in all- it was like 1776 all over as the USA left the British on the canvas once again...
Pics for proof to follow

That'll teach that new age hunk of tin to mess with real American iron lol. Amazing how quickly the thin new stuff folds up. Crumple zones or some mumbo jumbo...

Re: Bray's 96 Sleeper
What length bypass did you run in the rear of the bronco with the j40 springs?
Re: Bray's 96 Sleeper
12" travel King bypasses 3.0" diameter piggyback in the rear.
upper shock mount is Richer Racing

Re: Bray's 96 Sleeper
i might have to look into this for mine as well. I was talking to Robert last week and I might have to get ahold of your paint guy pretty soon. Truck is getting a mild bedcage pretty soon, then i need to figure out if i want to go glass or not, cage it, and then its paint time.

Nice little run out to Ocotillo weekend before last.
Never ceases to amaze me the stuff the truck soaks up and then when it's time to hit the pavement, everything is tight, straight, quiet and civilized again.
Had a close call when things got a bit squirrelly over on the state park side of things. @ 4:00 min of the below vid

Night run through some mudhills really letting the suspenson articulate and the lockers do their work. She can squeeze into some tight spots considering how chubby she is.
