The bump out on the oem pan is to make sure the fluid pools in that are of the pan for the filter pickup. If you are running a high capacity pan you want to run the extension of the pickup tube all the way to the bottom of the pan. As long as you have no leaks and the fluid is at the correct level the pickup will always be submerged in fluid. The transmission fluid is basically a closed system and should not use up fluid, unless there is something wrong.

Always run the seal and a small bead of rtv. Also the pans tend to get warped a little around the bolt holes.Broncotough wrote:went to a transmission shop here in my town and told the owner my issue. Pan is good, he recommended a better quality seal. And he gave it to me for free!

This is a long shot, saw key Lenos bronco and his had the amp power step boards. Since there's no actual kit for our older trucks. What do you think they did, umma guess splicing into the door ajar kits and adjusting the delay on the steps.

The AMPs can be made to fit all sorts of things. I am putting them on my '74 crew cab. The brackets are typically fab something up to make it work deal. The wiring is all controlled by the AMP kit, you just have to get the power from the door plungers. I got a wiring diagram from a guy who put a set on a '90's crew that I will be using to try 7 make mine work. I haven't run the wiring yet, so not sure if it works, but I can pass it along if you want. If so, post up an email address or PM me and I'll forward it.

Anyone running a "cold air intake" on their Broncos? Are their any differences between brands summit vs k&n vs spectre? Short ram, custom routing?

I'm running the k&n. Slight performance gain. Nothing crazy though.

The Summit kit is indeed a K&N. Little trick/hint there.Broncotough wrote:Anyone running a "cold air intake" on their Broncos? Are their any differences between brands summit vs k&n vs spectre? Short ram, custom routing?
