Expedition Console Mounting
Picked up a first gen expedition console, seen a lot of forums talking about these and the 04-08 ones. Plan is to mount my GPS and race radio in it, and actually have cup holders in my truck. (95 F-150)
Unfortunately I havent found one yet that has a detailed description on how people have been mounting them or even an actual completed forum. Does anyone have any insight to offer?

Expedition Console Mounting
I did the 04-08 console in mine. Trimmed a little off the front to match the dash. The stock mounts for the console sat perfectly on the floor once the carpet was cut away. Just need to drill for nutserts or self tappers or however you want to fasten it down.

04-08 Console on mine. Jose did the 97-03. Newer one is taller and slightly wider, but both work well.

Expedition Console Mounting
Just make your own. 12” sub in a sealed box plus an amp. Huge storage compartment and 6 cup holders. Was pretty easy to make.

Re: Expedition Console Mounting
I guess i'm just going to turn this thread into the Expedition Console master thread. I picked up a 03-06 Console i'll be putting in my Bronco.
I am going to have a friend with CAD and 3D printing access work up some replacement panels where the cigarette lighter is now, and make blanks for switches to just snap in. I might also work up a plate that covers the whole cubby, but bolts in like stock to mount radios or switches as well. Let me know if anyone is interested and i'll see what kind of costs are involved.

I also have one waiting to be installed. Just finished painting it last week. Your idea for the switch panel sounds pretty good. Keep us posted.
