So the 72 has a vintage CB and it feeds back voltage to the ign on buss.
Cb is a Cobra 29LTD St
Discovered when I found indicator light's I added that were burned out
Pulled the fuse for the CB and voltage for the ign buss is correct
I can remove feed back voltage from the cb by cycling its on off switch.
The leakage voltage is present regardless of whether the cb is on or off.
Ign buss is aftermarket and powered from the truck ign on wire.
Anyway easy fix is to power the cb from the +12 buss. It draws little power. At least the ign buss will turn off with the key.
What is inside this thing that charges a cap with the switch off then takes forever to discharge?

You could also cure the problem with feed back voltage with a diode in the line going to the CB.

I have an add on remote CD changer in one of my trucks that feeds back to the key-in-the ignition bell. Only lasts for a half a second before it discharges.

Easier than moving the wire across the truck to the other buss, but the idea of a radio that is not always hot is lame.
So a diode and hot buss is in order
