Just wanted to make an intro here first. My name is kyle im from san luis obispo and live in arroyo grande, ca. I work at Heacock Trailers and welding mostly as a welder/fabricator but i do a lot of installs and trailer work/repair and do all the welding and fabrication for AGPD as well as the state parks specifically the Oceano State Park. We do a lot of truck work and accessories. I am the former owner/fabricator of RedBeard Custom Fabrication & Offroad.
Vehicles:
1991 Bronco. mild 357w, e4od swapped for 302 and c6, came out of my old 92 bronco. Pro-comp 6in lift brackets and radius arms, eibach coils, bilstein shocks. 3in taper blocks in back, 33's. daily driver/light tow duty. lots to come but will stay simple.
1990 f-350 double cab dually 2wd. stock 460, e4od HD, 10.25 with 4.10 and l/s, some power adders nothing major. Setup for major towing/hauling, work truck. Soon to get a re-vamp as a mobile welding rig
2000 Ford Ranger 4x4 Supercab. 4.0L ohv, 5 speed, 8.8 4.10 and l/s. Leveling kit bilstein shocks, some accessories, power adders and 31's. Daily driver, wife drives this one around a bit and to work. good truck over 200k and still great shape and going strong
I am eager to meet some new people on here, some im familiar with from FSB. I saw the feature in offroad magazine about the baja trip and wanted to check out this group and maybe be a part of some of the local gatherings (if there are any). As for my projects, I doubt ill be doing much in terms of a build thread on my 91 bronco because im more into driving my trucks these days than wrenching on them and i do so much work for friends and local former customers helipng them maintain their trucks ive built (plus 40-48hours per week of welding work) Im ready to go play. Ill be adding some stuff here and there and if any major fab takes place on it in the future it would be in the form of a rollcage but its to be my daily driver till at least nextsummer.

Re: New to GFB from Arroyo Grande
thanks for the warm welcome guys. So far this seems to be a really good collection of people. Ive been a part of dezertrangers for about 7 years and it has slowly progressed into something I do not want to be a part of anymore.
Life up here is pretty swell thats for sure and a lot of the people who live here take it for granted. I know theres a few broncospeeders up here but other than the small collection of the ones ive helped build or built parts for, I dont personally know anyone. Id like to be a part of any gatherings or runs especially at pismo. I go to the beach/dunes at least once a week and many times much more often so it ould be cool to run with some other broncos. At the moment I run with a couple 2wd ranger prerunners and they will walk my heavy bronco in some sections (both were built by me
) and at other times they just dont have the horsepower or traction to charge up the steeper slopes with me so some more evenly built rigs would be cool to mob around with.
