First time Ford Owner in Dallas
Hey everyone! Just picked up a blue 5.8 C6 with rust and cracks in the usual places. My plan is to get it ready for inspection then swap on efi then fix rear fender rust then cut turn extend the front beams and long travel Leafs in the rear. Im new to broncos, but not go fast desert fun as I'm originally from CA and have built a long travel S10 and jeepspeed style XJ. I also used to rebuild shocks on the side, but haven't done that in a while.

Re: First time Ford Owner in Dallas
Shes in the garage due to a suicidal cam bearing. Big updates coming in the spring though.

Cam bearing Number 3, I only found it becasue i was going to replace the oil pan gasket and this is what i found. I am finishing up my rebuild now, new rings and bearings. The exhaust valves needed to be repalced but the seats themselves are perfect. Luckily 351w parts are nearly free.

I had that same issue with my old Windsor. I lost the cam bearing and it shut down the cylinder so I ran it on 7 cylinders for 40 miles. Needless to say not much was worth keeping.
