Newish Bronco Owner in SoCal

Post by argonaut »

I figured I might as well check in since I've posted on here a couple of times.
Earlier this year I inherited a 96 Bronco XLT 5.8 with a Kenne Bell supercharger and tow package (OJ Edition). My Ma owned it for about the past 8 years but rarely drove it, so I gladly took it off her hands for a small fee. She is a long time Bronco lover so I probably can't ever get rid of it without her heart breaking
.
Anywho, I'm not new to autos and motos in general, but I am new to Broncos and the off-road scene. I have talked to a few members of the site and have begin collecting some parts to get the Bronco lifted 4" with a C&T out front, some new-to-me springs out back and some basic Bilsteins all around. It is my daily driver so it won't be as hardcore as most of you on here, but I can appreciate all the fabrication and design that goes into the go-fast trucks.

Runs strong. But tuned with old tech: manual timing retard adjuster and a FMU (stock injectors). I really need to put some larger injectors in and get it dyno tuned and remapped to get good torque out of it. Still I can't imagine what it must be like hauling a big bronco around with a stock 5.8 liter.
