Can you explain why the coilovers have different shaft and body lengths?

I wanted a longer shaft for increased droop while keeping mounting space same as a 12" stroke....basically it allows you to get more travel in a smaller package....most of the manufacturers offer what they call short bodied shocks. The shorter body allows you to not lose up travel as well if your mounting options do not allow mounting a longer body.

I had them mounted in a 1:1 over the spring perches on the rear...I had them coming into the cab....I suspect you could fit them under a bronco wouldn't take full advantage of droop....Personally I think it would be a great addition to a front set up...would take a little bit of work with regards to mounting points
