Hi , I am a new guy on the forum , I am mostly into boss 429 , 302 , super cobra jets etc , but I also love those early broncos . I have an all org 1967 lunar green sport as well as some later broncos . I came across what looks like one of the 8 race broncos built by Stroope . Its seems to have the right stuff , frame knoch out for steering box , spot light arm above with lever , whelded roll cage with taco gussets ,
etc etc . Back in dec 10 th 2009[ toddz 69 ] posted some pictures of the rod hall jim flicker # 308 bronco racing in the 1969 baja 1000 . It had the # 308 on it . This bronco that I found has the # 308 on the door . Does anybody know about the history of this truck? Thanks in advance Bob

Bob:

I'd love to see some pictures of the truck you're referring to. We can probably help you identify it.

Thanks!

Yes, that's the Bronco that I co-own with my friend Andrew. Just raced the NORRA Mexican 1000 last week in it.

If you're seeing one with 308 on it now, it may be Pike's Bronco? Where did you see it? Pikes has been at Mike McComas' body shop in the Hemet area for quite awhile now.

Ah, you're probably referring to the old Brian Taylor Bronco:

An old racing Bronco (owned by the Wheeler brothers) similar to a Stroppe. It raced in the late 1970s.
